Through the “Weaving a Global Safety Net for American Victims – A Call to Men & Women” initiative, Paula Lucas of Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center (AODVC) will be traveling to several European and Middle Eastern countries this spring to present the worldwide model she created to help victims. Interested volunteers will have the opportunity to meet directly with Paula to brainstorm ideas, create action items, and build community to help American victims overseas. Thanks to a federal grant from the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) awarded to AODVC and SASHAA, victim services will be expanded, and outreach education resumed this year.
Paula will make a presentation at the FAWCO Conference in Rome in March, and intends to visit London, Beirut, Istanbul, Ankara, Athens, Barcelona, Madrid, and Paris as well. If you are interested in attending a presentation and/or connecting individually with Paula, please contact Karen Lewis at .
